As we head into the New Year and leave behind the season of giving, perhaps you have been given something that will change your life for ever.
For some of you that may a subscription to the gym, for others perhaps it has been a proposal of marriage, how exciting!
Then the fun really does begin, a spring wedding or how about a winter one, how many Bridesmaids, what colour will they wear, so many designs of wedding dresses, on whose table can you put Great Aunt Maud and will she be as blunt as she usually is, who will be the Best Man, where and when will you tie the knot, so many decisions!
Up until 1994 there were only two options in answer to the “where” question, it was either a Church or a Registry Office, then the Marriage Act was changed and along came a third option, licenced venues.
There are so many choices but did you know there is a fourth option?
A Celebrant led ceremony.
It doesn’t have to be in a licenced venue, it doesn’t need to have a roof if it is outside and your ceremony can take place anywhere, on any day, yes, even a Sunday, at any time of the day or night, you are only limited by your imagination.
You have the choice to write your own vows, have a completely bespoke and personalised service, no time constraints, include poems, music: how about a string quartet? A jazz band? Robbie Williams? Well we can all dream!
Anything you want, isn’t that amazing? So much choice for you on your wedding day and with the added bonus of it being financially beneficial.
If you would like to see for yourself how a ceremony is conducted, why not join Jeanette as she conducts a “mock” ceremony at the Red Event Wedding Fayres at The Leasowe Castle Hotel on Sunday 29th January 2017 and at MacDonald Craxton Wood Hotel & Spa on Sunday 12th February 2017.
