There’s no reason to only celebrate your wedding once.

Vow Renewal Ceremonies

Some people choose to have a ceremony after a certain number of years together or after a life changing event.

For example, some couples will have a ceremony after they have children, so the kids can take part in a mini wedding that they missed out on before they were born.

A renewal of vows can be as personal, fun and unique as you wish. It could be just the two of you, a small gathering of close family or a big party with all your original guests.

The ceremony itself can be held anywhere, as there’s no legal element this time. You can have it day or night and fill it with whatever you want including readings, poems or your favourite music.

Couples will usually exchange vows that reflect on what they said during their wedding. You could have the same vows or write brand new ones. New vows gives you a unique opportunity to express how you feel about your relationship and what’s changed or stayed the same.

After that, there’s the exchange of the rings, either your original ones or new ones if you want to update them. Some people choose to get new engravings on their original ones to mark a milestone.
