Handfasting Ceremonies
A handfasting is a great way to celebrate your marriage in a very unique way.
It is a perfect way to include children, parents, family and friends within your ceremony, showing their love & support for your marriage. Coloured Ribbons or Cords are chosen each with a different meaning.
Although there are thirteen colours many couples just choose three or four, selecting the meaning attached to each colour to suit their individuality.
Sand Ceremonies
A sand ceremony is a beautiful way to symbolise the coming together of couples, or of families. They often form part of a wedding ceremony, or other type of unity celebration.
Blending grains of sand into one container is a very visual way of blending your lives. If you have children, they could also add their sand to yours during the ceremony, bringing you all together as a family. Each person might choose their own colour of sand, which are readily available!
We honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better as a celebrant for our wedding. We initially met Jeanette 4/5 weeks prior to the wedding as an introduction in person and we knew from meeting her she would be great, how warm and welcoming she was. However, on the day of the wedding she was even better! We honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to make our wedding so personal and loving.
