Acting as a wedding celebrant for couples celebrating their marriage is such a privileged role. To play a part in such a special, memorable event is a truly emotional experience which requires thoughtful consideration.
So to find out I have been awarded a prestigious Luxury Travel Guide Award for Marriage Celebrant of the Year – Wirral is thrilling!
It was an honour to have been nominated, and when my name was read out as the winner I just sat there in total shock. Being a Celebrant is an amazing journey, and I have been privileged to have worked with so many wonderful couples.
I look forward to working with many more in the future, making sure they have their day their way.
What is a wedding celebrant?
A marriage celebrant is someone who performs the wedding ceremony for a couple. Whilst registrars deal with the actual legally binding part of a marriage, a wedding celebrant helps couples tell their story, and exactly how they want to share it.

Wedding celebrants are not bound to any religious or licensed venue, which means that couples getting married can explore a much wider range of options in which to get married.
There are also many ways you can express your love for each other, which your celebrant will be delighted to explore with you. I’m often astonished (pleasantly so!) by the creativity of the couples who I work with.
Popular examples of this might include a hand fasting ceremony, or a symbolic candle ceremony, though some couples might decide to blend elements of different ceremonies.
